Biblical Hermeneutics – Part 3 (02 Mar 2006) Instead of being passive consumers of biblical commentary, we can participate in the forming of a very particular, but no less authentic, commentary of our own. The only thing that should happen between text and commentary is exegesis, not homiletics.
Biblical Hermeneutics – Part 2 (02 Mar 2006) Even a diminutive exposure to the history of the church's involvement with Scripture gives us reason to pause and re-evaluate our too simple and long cherished assumptions about the nature of scriptural revelation.
Anointed versus Talented: Whats the Difference? (02 Mar 2006) In the Christian world I've heard so many people say that a particular song was "anointed" or how a pastor's message was "anointed, or "The choir was under the anointing today when they sang that selection." As I began to grow more in my Christian walk, I wanted to know what is really meant about being "anointed", and what's the difference between being "talented" and being "anointed", especially being an artist. Here's a little bit of what I found:
Resurrection Faith (Part 1) (02 Mar 2006) At the heart of Christianity is a cross; and one of the most significant things about the cross is that it is bare. Christians down through the ages have been sure that Jesus' disgracing death on the cross of Calvary was not the end of the story. Rather, it was the beginning.
Religion has Served Its Usefulness for Mankind (02 Mar 2006) As the world becomes closer and closer together, there seems to be a problem with the World's religions. It is time to close them down. The hypocrisy in all religions is unnerving and shows a complete beak down of mankind's mental capacity and inability to cope with the current projected reality.

The Stilling of the Storm (02 Mar 2006) In Luke and Mark, Jesus stills the storm first and then admonishes the disciples. In Matthews, the action is reversed; Jesus rebukes the disciples and then stills the storm. One of the oddest features in Matthew is that it begins the story with "the disciples" but ends with "the men."
The Stilling Of the Storm: In My View (02 Mar 2006) In my view, the significance of this miracle of nature as presented by Matthews lies in the theological teachings (which as acts of the "King of the Jews"), it contains. Like the healing miracles, they can probably be best understood against the background of the Old Testament.
Biblical Hermeneutics – Part 1 (02 Mar 2006) The problem of Biblical authority would probably be less bothersome if we were able to approach the Bible unbiasly. Unfortunately, this is not possible.
Miracle Worker (02 Mar 2006) For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
The Occult (02 Mar 2006) The Catholic Encyclopedia says Yoga means 'yoke' and though there is a connection with linguistic truth to this they are not correct. The ways our soul can connect to all that is are many and Yoga means 'union'.

Calling (02 Mar 2006) So Samuel went and lay down in his place. The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, Samuel! Samuel! Then Samuel said, Speak, for your servant is listening.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
